Stupid
I sometimes find myself saying that the majority of the people in the world are “stupid”. I now realize that since “stupid” is a relative term, as in, one person is “stupider” than another and that there is no precise definition of “stupid”, then my statement doesn’t make sense. You see, if the majority of the people in the world are at a certain level of intelligence, that level is by definition “average” and cannot be termed “stupid”. So a better statement would be “I am smarter than the majority of the people in the world”.
I prefer to say that many, many people in the world don’t behave in ways that make life better for themselves and others.
They make hurtful choices deliberately, again and again. For generations.
It’s very depressing.
