Life The Ultimate Game?

Psychotic 26 October 2011 | 0 Comments

This is another post by Mclovin, I didn’t think I would be doing another post for a long while, as I don’t tend to want to write about something unless i think it might be worth sharing.

In fact, I think their was like a year between my first post and my second one which I did recently.

But I’ve had all these thoughts buzzing around in my head and as long as Glenn and Chris don’t mind, I thought I would throw in another 2 cents.

This post kind of follows on from my last one called Reality, Sgt Peppers Lonely and the Crazies and Glenns one on Reality called Close Your Eyes

I almost feel the topic of Reality deserves an ongoing series, as there is so much that can be discussed.

Only warning I will give ahead of time, or disclaimer if you want to call it that is ( I will be talking again about the plant called Salvia ),  while its legal in some countries, it’s not legal in other countries. I don’t wish to imply that I or anyone from the site suggests anyone should take it or that I/we promote it in anyway. This post and the others referencing it should be just referred to as educational and should be treated as that. I/We are not responsible and cannot be held responsible for any actions you decide to take in response to reading this post or any of the previous posts that mention the term ” Salvia”

***************************************************************************************************

Now that is out of the way, back to the purpose of this post.

For many years, actually for as long as I remember, I’ve at times in life said ” Please stop the world I want to get off” or ” If this is one big game, it’s not fun anymore, how do i stop? ”

Now don’t get me wrong.

Life is worth living, its one hell of a ride of ups and downs, twists and turns and no other experience that I know of can bring out such a wide range of emotions.

But having said that, it’s just human to encounter times in life where you want to hit the reset button, you want to fold up the board and take a breather from what can seem at times as no longer fun.

But when it comes down to it, would I do that?, could I bring myself to do that? if I had the ability to stop the world ( what we call reality ) and step out of it, or peak outside of it for a limited amount of time, 5 or 15 minutes in our time ( but could seem like hours, days even years outside of our time? )

Would I really have the nerve to do it?

And please understand me here… I’m not talking about suicide, just to make sure we are on the same page here.

Let me explain:

I posed this question recently to someone. I said, if through advancing as the human race, we discovered a way to experience what lies beyond this life, this realm, this thing we call reality. It had become a scientifically and world wide accepted fact that  a person could for a limited period of TIME peak beyond the fabric of what we call reality ( what we see with our eyes, hear, taste, touch and smell ) would you volunteer to be in a group who experiences it?

One catch is, the moment you are in that reality, YOU HAVE no idea WHO you are, everything is stripped from you and you have to remain there UNTIL it released you back to our reality…

And when you came back, you could only remember fragments of what it was like….Would you do it?

The person said NO

Its the fear of the unknown

Actually the person said ” Its impossible”  lol. I said look we are talking theoretically here :)

They said NO

It made sense what they said, the fear of the unknown can be scary.

It reminded me of the movie with kevin bacon called ” Flatliners” where these medical students bring themselves to near death

How many would really volunteer to have that experience?

Pushing all macho religious beliefs aside, you know the ones you hear ” I KNOW WHERE IM GOING” B.S which really means ” I HAVE NO CLUE WHERE IM GOING, BUT I HAVE TO SOUND AS THOUGH MY BELIEFS HAVE SUBSTANCE”

How many including religious folks would be willing to roll the dice and take the chance to see what lurks beyond the walls of this reality, if but just for a brief moment and then return?

Would they see what they thought they would?

What would happen if they didn’t see anything that validated their long-held beliefs?

See, here is the thing:

As I have looked deeper into SALIVA the plant and people’s experiences the more I have started to see a common thread running between all of the experiences. ( at least for those that have taken a large enough dose of it )

And it’s this…

They see REALITY fold in on it’s self. The physical world folds inwards

This includes their physical body

This for many brings on a great degree of terror as the very thing that appears to scare most people is LOSING the hold on reality, hold on self, hold on identity, hold on what is COMMON to them.

And as the world around IMPLODES inwards, a new realm is seen with beings

For some, who let go… they experience a deep sense of familiarity as though they have been there before, a sense of love and knowing.

For those who fight it… they experience a deep sense of fear, a sense of animosity from the beings

Salvia for 5 to 20 mins of our time ( no clue beyond our reality ) seems to pull back the curtain and gives people a  deeply profound and at times disturbing experience

YEP.

As marty mcfly would say ( This is heavy doc! )

Listen , another commonality that I have come across is that many who have had this experience and have LET GO of the world, their body and everything they knew as real, suddenly become aware that the world ( that we call reality and real ) is just a game

In fact, I’ve heard at least 8 different people through their experiences say they were either told or saw LIFE as a game

Most of them didn’t expand upon this, though one did comment he could see how everything was created in our reality from the other side.

I have given a lot of thought to that lately and while it might sound ludicrous, it all depends on your perspective of this.

Consider this then revist the idea that Life is just a game.

It may require you to suspend your beliefs for a moment, and lay aside your ego that you are special and that life is special and there is a deity who looks down thinking the world is special.

Here goes:

I was talking to some friends tonight and said. What if LIFE was just one big game?

They laughed

I said no seriously, I’m not saying it is, I’m saying what is the possibility that it could be a game, that we are all just part of the game and that in fact, we are the ones CREATING the game from outside of the game, but experiencing it from within and from  outside of it? But for it to be really realistic, we have to be willing to enter it and forget that their was anything outside of it?

They laughed again.

Ok I said let’s think about it this way. This might help

Think about computers, years ago… you know the commodore 64, the spectrum, the atari etc… to experience the game we had to load up a tape, hook it up to a tv or screen of some kind and wait patiently for it to load up, then we get this crappy little dot on the screen that we would bounce around and rack up points… not very realistic.

Next we moved up to newer computers, faster, better graphics, better sound, more games, bigger maps, more levels, again we started using better joysticks and was able to immerse ourselves in an experience and even get lost in it for several hours…. but still it was not realistic enough

Next we moved up to machines attached to our tv where the joystick would vibrate and the games seemed even more real…. still not realistic enough

Next we moved up to Virtual worlds like 2nd life … still not realistic enough

Next we moved up to the Wii, swinging joysticks around.. much more realistic.. but again still not realistic enough.

Next we moved up to XBOX Kinetic, where we no longer have to hold anything, we ourselves move and as long as we are in the sight of the box.. it works with our bodies… but that still is not going to be realistic enough

We already know that various 3D systems have and are being developed ( sony for instance ) where things go on our heads and hands and will immerse us in an even more realistic enviroment, where maybe we cant see anything BUT the game, but we still know that its a game, we still know we have something on our head or we’re in a booth….. but, its not realistic enough

Now we hear about 4d gaming… but again it’s still not realistic enough

So maybe in the future we step up to a holographic wrap around environment that is projected out like something you see from Star wars, and now as long as we stay inside the holographic projection and in the line of sight of the projector we no longer have to wear anything, heck we can go BUTT naked if we like and  we will feel as though we are completely immersed in the game…  But alas its not realistic enough still…

Next maybe is something that goes in our brain Maybe its like a brain implant ” The future of virtual reality games “… ummm close but still not realistic enough

We would soon want to physically be able to touch, smell, taste, hear and see what we are interacting with, so maybe we come up with a way to make that possible and its great. …. but now its still not realistic enough… Lets face it.. That movie that played recently ( spy kids 4d, had scratch and sniff cards.. ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! LOL )… Nope not realistic enough….

So now we move up through years of advancement to the game of all games. FINALLY…. we can immerse ourselves in a game that lets us smell, taste, touch, hear and see everything just like we do when we are not playing the game and everything seems perfect, heck if we are not careful we can actually get hurt… But then we realize once again… Its not realistic enough…

Jump forward more years and  we think, how can we improve this any more than what we already have?

The greatest minds from all of the gaming manufactures come together for a brainstorming session.

And after a long and awkward amount of silence,  someone jumps up! I know…

We still know we are in the game and the very KNOWING of the 2 realities ( the game and outside the game ) is making it still not real enough

Lets find a way to make it so that the player once inside the game, no longer knows they have entered a game. Once in they forget they even chose to come into the game

But someone says…

No one is going to want to play that!

Sure some won’t want too

But some will, can you imagine the experience you could have? doesn’t that blow your mind?

Okay, but how do they get out?

Ah they are given a set amount of time and then the game ejects them, or they make a mistake, get hurt etc etc…. their will be many ways they can come out..problem is when they come out we will have to help them remember that they were in the game. Reintroduce them to their former environment and reality.

RIGHT NOW STOP THERE…..

How far off in todays terms are we from the POSSIBILITY of a GAMING company heading in that direction?

Years ago we never imagined that we would one day stand in front of our TV with nothing in our hands and run, shoot, dance etc and it happen in the game.

With every advancement in gaming, the anty is raised to get it to be more realistic, to immerse the user in an experience that is better than they have ever had.

The friends I told this too, said ok sure I could see gaming companys advancing and even attempting to put something out there that could do that ( not sure it would be allowed ) but its possible

But wouldn’t people get hurt? emotionally? physically?mentally?

Sure… they would have too, if it was to seem completely real

They finished up by saying. Yeah not sure if I would want to be in that game.

Now imagine… for real

That is what REAL LIFE is!

I’m not saying it is, as yes it sounds insane, but its possible right?

That we are nothing more than experiencing this reality through awareness and when death occurs our awareness shifts

They say that a large amount of our natural DMT ( part of the ayahuasca plant  ) is released at death

Which might explain the experiences people have through ayahuasca ( salvia is apparently similar to ayahuasca )

So back to SALVIA again.. and the commonality that runs through most salvia experiences.

What if Salvia could show you that? what if it was ONE of the many ways of exiting the GAME but only briefly for a short period of time

Being as that you would have no recollection of it being a GAME, what emotions would come up? fear? terror? a sense of relief? doubts? confusion? denial?

Would the emotions experienced be worth experiencing for a glimpse into knowing the truth of this?

No matter how horrifying

No matter how shocking it would be to learn that ” Our reality” the world we know it, was not real

Or would it be better to wait till death and then experience it all in ONE go?

I’ll ask you to ponder that one.

All in all, I know this has been quite a mind dump.. if ever I think the point I am trying to make is that I personally have to remain OPEN to possibilities.

Because depending on our reference point and perspective, what might be obscure, might make sense and be clear when we allow ourselves to move into a different viewpoint.

But to experience that viewpoint, we may have to be willing to experience something that is shocking, something that hits us right at the core of our ego ( how smart we think we are, how special we think we are, how unique we think this reality is ) and be open to the possibility that it might not be the case.

Food for thought right?

Salvia is a weird plant, that continues to intrigue me

Among the many reports that I have read, literally hundreds now on forums, websites, blogs ( not too many on youtube as their filled with a lot of idiotic uploads by people who think Salvia is just for getting high  ) there have been as Ive mentioned a strong commonality found among all experiences.  As if while their experiences may vary, certain aspects of all the experiences  have an underlying reality that everyone sees.  This reality only seems to vary depending on how people react to the experience ( scared of not finding their way back, they experience fear, if they let go a sense of love and familiarity instead of fear )

One Salvia user said that when you are outside of this reality ( you can not see the world around you at all ) you realize that the YOU who is on the outside experiences LIFE inside the game like a DREAM ( all the people, places and things ) are a part of you, seen by you, experienced by you.  Yet its not real, but when your in it, you think it is.

Among some of the many reports ive read,  ive come across a couple of interesting stories told by people who explain what its like outside of the game.

Heres one, this video is in 4 parts, if you can handle his constant moving around of the camera, you may find it interesting I know I did. He shares his experiences of what he says is beyond this realm through salvia and how it helped his fear of death. It seems to be one of only a FEW on youtube that aren’t of someone falling around, giggling. Worth checking out

Obviously everything should be taken with a grain of salt as the world we live in and our brains are still quite the mystery.

Yet ruling out things because it doesn’t fit in with our paradigm, our set of beliefs or our ego may be the reason why people experience such a shock when taking this plant.
